According to the May 2026 China Children's Bicycle Export Report released by the China Toy and Juvenile Products Association (CTJPA), China's children's bicycle export value reached US$42.505 million in May, with the rate of decline narrowing compared to April. Key highlights include explosive growth in the U.S. market, recovering demand across seven RCEP member countries, and Hebei Province leading the nation in export volume growth.

Analyzing the two major domestic exporting provinces, both significantly outperformed the national growth average in shipments to the United States.
Zhejiang, a major exporter of children's bicycles in China, recorded a total export value of US$15.373 million during the month, accounting for 36.2% of the national total. Zhejiang's exports to the U.S. reached US$2.401 million, a YoY increase of 93.4% (an increment of US$1.16 million), making the U.S. Zhejiang's top overseas destination. Backed by mature foreign trade infrastructure and compliance systems, Zhejiang factories have become the preferred supply source for North American buyers.

The growth tiers showed clear differentiation: Australia (+146.3% YoY), Cambodia (+117.6% YoY), and South Korea (+94.5% YoY) formed the top growth tier; Laos, Indonesia, and Japan steadily expanded, while Brunei remained flat. Notably, exports to Australia reached US$809,000, with an increment of US$481,000, making it the highest incremental growth market within RCEP.
Among the top 10 provinces and municipalities for China's children's bicycle exports, seven regions recorded positive growth. Hainan, Jiangsu, and Hebei registered the highest growth rates, with Hebei topping the national ranking with an export value increment of US$1.103 million.
In May, Hebei's children's bicycle exports reached US$4.135 million, up 36.4% YoY, with general trade accounting for 93.7%. As key domestic juvenile vehicle industrial hubs, Xingtai and Pingxiang continue to unleash advantages in large-scale manufacturing and complete supply chain integration. Overseas buyers have increased procurement allocations from Hebei factories, driving a rapid expansion in regional export scale.
In contrast, while Zhejiang's total volume remained in the lead, it declined by 19.4% YoY, and Guangdong's exports contracted sharply by 63.3%. The domestic children's vehicle manufacturing footprint is gradually shifting from Zhejiang toward a more decentralized layout including Hebei and Tianjin.
