As parents across the globe seek safe and user-friendly baby strollers, Chinese-manufactured products are gaining strong momentum in overseas markets. According to the China Baby Stroller Export Report released by the China Toy & Juvenile Products Association (CTJPA), China's baby stroller exports delivered solid performance in April 2026: monthly growth rebounded, major overseas markets recovered, trade structure was further optimized, and industrial clusters exerted strong strength. Amid differentiated global demand for juvenile products, Chinese manufacturing has demonstrated stable competitiveness and outstanding export resilience.
01 April Growth Turns Positive as Cumulative Exports Continue to Rise
China's total baby stroller export volume reached 150 million US dollars in April, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.0% and reversing the negative growth seen in previous months. The cumulative export volume from January to April hit 590 million US dollars, up 7.9% year on year, reflecting a steady recovery of overall export scale.

China's export structure has also undergone notable upgrading. By trade mode, general trade has further consolidated its dominant position. In April, exports via general trade stood at 100 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 17.4%, accounting for 68.0% of total exports — 1.9 percentage points higher than the same period last year. Exports via processing trade amounted to 50 million US dollars, rising 7.5% year on year and taking up 32.0% of the total.
The faster growth and rising share of general trade indicate that China's baby stroller industry is no longer limited to simple OEM and private labeling. A growing number of domestic independent brands and self-operated sales channels have entered the global market, which has effectively improved enterprises' bargaining power and profit margins. The growth rate of general trade outpaced processing trade by nearly 10 percentage points, enabling Chinese manufacturers to gain greater profits and market discourse power.
